Non-US based travel professionals application
In the sections below, we detail the prerequisites documentation required to complete an application for the IATA/IATAN ID Card for travel professionals not based within the US.
Prepare your photo and documentation
Prior to beginning the application process please ensure your photo ID and documentation meet the standards listed below.
ID photo (Digital) specifications:
- Size: 300 pixels wide x 400 pixels tall
- Face the camera directly
- White or off-white background
- No sunglasses or hats
Proof of employment:
There are two proof of employment options available:
- Official employment letter: Signed by your manager, including date, your name, company name, and hours worked per week.
- Official payslip or commission record: Includes your name, company name, and date.
Document format requirements:
- All documents must be in PDF format.
- Documents should be dated within the last 3 months.
Begin your application
All ID Card applications are processed online through the IATA Customer Portal.
First time user you will need to sign up, otherwise login through your Email/Password.
Once you have accessed the platform:
- Go to "Available Services."
- Choose "ID Card Management."
- Click on "Purchase ID Card" to start your application.
The application process has three components:
- Submit your prepared documents in PDF format.
- Complete the online application form.
- Make your payment via our secure system (Visa, Mastercard, American Express).
Please note that making any false declaration in the application process will result in immediate cancellation and blacklisting of the ID cards.
