Please be advised that the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS) applies to any organization, regardless of size or number of transactions, that accepts, transmits or stores any cardholder data. As per the PCI DSS guidelines, compliance and validation for PCI DSS vary according to the number of transactions handled by the merchant. All merchants will fall into one of the four merchant levels based on credit transaction volume over a 12-month period, with level 1 having the highest (over 6M transactions per year) and level 4 the least (fewer than 20,000 transactions per year).
