The DG AutoCheck Connect API assists in tackling a major industry challenge. Manually re-entering Dangerous Goods details from acceptance checks into NOTOC creation systems is both time-consuming and error-prone. Traditionally, this process could take anywhere from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours, greatly affecting efficiency and accuracy. Today this process can be instantanious. Our centrally located DG AutoCheck system now boasts a powerful API, enabling seamless data exchange. The Connect API bridges the gap between DG AutoCheck and other systems within the air cargo industry automating data transfer and enhancing digitalization.

What you get with DG AutoCheck Connect API

Efficient data exchange via Connect API and iCargo delivers tangible benefits:

  • Enhanced Safety: Makes cargo safety a top priority.
  • Compliance Made Simple: Achieve safety standards effortlessly.
  • Speed: Previously, obtaining detailed information on dangerous goods for flight crew could take up to 100 minutes. With Connect API, it’s instantaneous.
  • Quality Assurance: Real-time, accurate data for smoother operations.

End-to-end Digital Transformation

The dangerous goods data process begins with the shipper or freight forwarder creating a Dangerous Goods Declaration (DGD) using the DG Digital platform, an extension of DG AutoCheck. This platform allows shippers and forwarders to digitalize their DGD data capture, perform basic validations, and streamline the submission process. It supports digital submission to Airlines, Ground Handling Agents (GHAs) and DG AutoCheck accounts, offering features such as data validation, PDF preview, status tracking, and automated email notifications.

Once the data is captured and validated through the DG AutoCheck during acceptance process, it provides essential data elements for NOTOC modules using the IATA Connect API. The DG AutoCheck Connect API web service offers a suite of APIs that facilitate the automated transfer of DG data, including check results, reports, and resources, from DG AutoCheck to external systems like Cargo/Warehouse Management Systems (CMS) and NOTOC systems. These APIs are utilized in various post-acceptance check activities, ensuring seamless integration and efficient handling of dangerous goods data.

Trusted by industry leaders for accurate and efficient automated data transfer

All Nippon Airways (ANA) was the first adopter of Connect API, integrating DG AutoCheck with iCargo. This integration automates notifications to captains (NOTOC) and opens other possibilities, such as linking DG AutoCheck to operational or accounting systems and cargo management systems (CMS).
