The Schedule Data Exchange Program (SDEP) has gained significant momentum since its official launch at the end of 2023, with airlines demonstrating strong support. Currently, 86 airlines have expressed their intention to join the program, and additionally, 57 airlines have formalized their participation by signing the Contributed Data Licensing Agreement (CDLA).
Ongoing engagements with more airlines are underway, and we eagerly anticipate further CDLA signings in the coming months. The SDEP team is committed not only to achieving but surpassing their target of 75 CDLAs signed by the end of 2024.
The IATA Schedule Data Exchange Program (SDEP) is currently in the solution development phase. The Data Collection Module is now live. This module facilitates the onboarding of bulk schedule data (seasonal or annual) and through various transmission channels like Email, SFTP or iiNET.
Additional data sets, such as SSM messages via message networks, historical data, and MCT exceptions data, will be onboarded progressively as the system becomes ready. This phased approach is expected to continue into Q4 2024 and Q1 2025.
The SDEP team will coordinate with airlines that have signed the Contributed Data Licensing Agreement (CDLA) to plan the relevant onboarding timelines starting in July. As of the time of this post, we have our first live schedule data file received. Our system successfully received the inaugural live schedule data file from Royal Jordanian.
