The first Schedule Data Exchange Program Forum took place on November 18 at our IATA office in Singapore. We had the pleasure of welcoming 70+ airline representatives interested into knowing more about the initiative and share their support.
The Forum was a fantastic opportunity to meet airline representatives in person, provide them an overview of the IATA Data Strategy, host live discussions and provide more insights on the initiative, the onboarding process, the output data. We also clarified any question raised by the participants. We also had the opportunity to hear from industry colleagues from Vueling, Air Asia Group and Amadeus how their organizations deal with regulatory and compliance restrictions that force airlines to adjust their network. We took note of the best practices they use to address these challenges.
Changi Airport talked about how they are enhancing the hub’s connectivity. Sri Lankan Airlines shared how they employ data and technology to enhance operational efficiency. AirAsia Group shared how passenger behaviour, travel habits and preferences influence their scheduling choices. The Forum created a platform for a very fruitful discussions We look forward to continuing these conversations and welcoming more airlines onboard the Schedule Data Exchange Program.
