The British people have spoken in their General Election, and have voted for a new Labour government, replacing the Conservatives who have ruled in one form or another since 2010. So far Labour have revealed few detailed policy positions, especially on aviation. However, their manifesto said that they “will secure the UK aviation industry’s long-term future, including through promoting sustainable aviation fuels, and encouraging airspace modernisation.” During the campaign, Labour politicians also made encouraging comments about the need to invest in airport infrastructure. So, it appears there is a lot of positivity towards aviation that we will want to build on with a strong and constructive relationship with the government.
To aid in that endeavor, we have developed a microsite to outline our key policy priorities for the UK government. We invite all aviation stakeholders, especially British policymakers and regulators, to check out this site and contact our UK team if they have any questions. We look forward to an exciting new chapter in British aviation.
