This year, as we celebrate the 35th anniversary of the IATA Strategic Partnerships Program (SPP), I am delighted to inform you that you can now request a copy of the updated brochure on the SPP page, where you will find key information on over 30 areas of involvement and the list of Program benefits.
From its nine founding Strategic Partners in 1990 to a community of over 480 today, the Program, as well as the aviation ecosystem have come a long way. Over the past three decades, air transport has witnessed and been impacted by major events and disruptions – from geopolitical to economic to financial to global health crisis - all of which have required our industry to adjust and come out stronger.
Adjusting to these realities has also meant ensuring that the SPP remains “fit for purpose” for our community. In fact, more than ever, the IATA Strategic Partnerships team remains committed to bringing greater value to our Partners by ensuring you make the most from the networking, marketing and discounting opportunities afforded to you.
As you know, in addition to the standard SPP benefits which are listed below, each area of involvement has its own product sheet outlining a specific set of advantages. Based on the area selected, such benefits could include access to the IATA Sustainability Knowledge Center (Flyaware), passes to IATA events such as the Annual General Meeting, the Aviation Energy Forum, the World Sustainability Symposium and the new World Data Symposium, as well the opportunity to take part in by-invitation only workshops and meetings.
I also invite you to consult the SPP calendar of meetings regularly to plan your engagements throughout the year, and to consider contributing articles to our quarterly newsletter, which is shared with over 14,000 contacts across the air transport industry and helps increase your visibility.
As we continuously aim to serve your needs, we welcome your suggestions on other potential benefits you would like to see, by sharing them with us at partnerships@iata.org. In the meantime, we wish you well and look forward to seeing you at one of IATA’s upcoming events!
Sincerely,
Sebastian Tirado
