Strategic Partnerships Program Foreword - Q4 2024

As we get ready to close off another incredible year, we are delighted to report that over 80 new companies have joined the IATA Strategic Partnerships Program in 2024.  This means that our community has now grown to 480 Partners - the highest level ever!   In fact, companies in the Program have participated in over 120 meetings this year alone, collaborating with IATA in working groups, task force meetings, information, and insight sessions, as well as participating in IATA events.  While these engagements have provided valuable networking opportunities and have served to enhance your business, it is important to recognize your tremendous contributions to the richness of the discussions and exchanges with member airlines and other key stakeholders of the air transport value chain to improve the state of our industry.

I am also very excited for what is to come in 2025, when we will be celebrating the Program’s 35th anniversary.  It will be an opportunity to recognize our long-standing Partners at the upcoming Annual General Meeting and World Air Transport Summit in Delhi, India (1-3 June 2025), most notably those who joined in 1990: Amadeus, ARINC-Collins Aerospace, Accelya, GE Aerospace (joined as GE Aviation) and SITA.

Finally, I invite you to take a look at the 2025 IATA Calendar of Events, which offers new opportunities for you to connect with key players and achieve your corporate goals.  We are particularly excited to announce the launch of the IATA World Data Symposium, which will take place in Dublin, Ireland (26-27 February 2025) and promises to be a groundbreaking gathering of industry leaders, innovators, and experts in the field of data and technology.  IATA Strategic Partners in the “Data and Technology Proof of Concept” area and those in the “Open API” area will be receiving up to two complimentary passes to attend this inaugural event.

As we approach the holiday season, I would like to take this opportunity to warmly thank you for your commitment and for being part of our community as a valued Strategic Partner.

I wish you well for the upcoming year and invite you to contact the IATA Strategic Partnerships team at partnership@iata.org to learn more about our areas of involvement, how you can make most of the Program’s benefits or if you require any additional support.

Here is to 2025 and all the great things to come as we collectively soar to new heights!

Sincerely,

Sebastian Tirado
